Hazardous Materials Incident Command This 12-hour course exceeds OSHA 1910.120 requirements for On-Scene Incident Commanders. The course provides the student with the skills necessary to assume the role of On-Scene Incident Commander, going far beyond the rather rudimentary requirements included in the OSHA standard. The course stresses personnel safety, maintaining strict control and knowing when to "walk away from a loser". Participants are exposed to decontamination and Chemical Protective Clothing to gain a better appreciation of the difficulties these operations involve. The Incident Management System, Unified Command, and other command post operations are fully explained.
